DNProtect provides a warranty for internet domain names to businesses and individuals who own those domain names. Domain name owners may apply for coverage for domain names that they own. Domain name owners may apply for coverage for their domain name, and a separate policy is written for each domain name.
These terms and conditions are applicable to all of the domain name warranty coverage provided by DNProtect, underwritten by Epik Holdings Inc.
These Warranty Terms and Conditions form the part of your warranty coverage. During any period of coverage, DNProtect will insure the domain name named on the warranty coverage certificate under the conditions set out in the coverage policy. We may save emails, online chats, forms filled out by you, and may record phone calls to train our staff, avoid misunderstandings, and give protection to you, the person who contacts us on your behalf, and to callers. This helps us maintain a high quality of service to you. We reserve the right to share your information with other third-parties in an anonymous fashion that does not identify the policyholder in order to determine or obtain domain name risk or other data associated with your policy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for additional information about how and when we may share data.
DNProtect reserves the right to limit the amount of coverage available per domain name. DNProtect uses DNP Score as well as other domain name risk factors to determine the availability of coverage as well as the amount of coverage offered for each domain name. DNProtect reserves the right to decline coverage for any domain name and cancel coverage at any time. If cancellation of coverage occurs, refunds are at the sole discretion of DNProtect and are limited to the period of time when a domain name was not covered by DNProtect.
DNProtect reserves the right to cancel domain name coverage in the event the domain name owner fails to pay the policy’s premium, fails to renew the domain name, or domain name ownership changes. DNProtect monitors a domain name's DNP Score, and DNProtect reserves the right to cancel coverage if there is a significant change in the DNP Score or the domain name has been found to present additional risk to the domain name owner or DNProtect. DNProtect will notify the domain name owner in writing, via email, if the domain name risk or DNP Score changes that may result in a premium increase or risk of cancellation of coverage.
DNProtect warranties covered domain names against domain name theft.
Prior to a DNProtect policy being issued, DNProtect verifies ownership of each domain name. In the event that a domain name is stolen by a third party, DNProtect will work with the domain owner to recover the lost domain name. If a domain name is stolen, the domain name owner and policy holder must immediately notify DNProtect. The domain name owner and policyholder must file a report with local authorities, which must also be filed with DNProtect. DNProtect will open a domain name theft inquiry and work with you and the appropriate domain name registrars to recover the domain name and return it to its proper owner.

If the copyright infringement or DMCA complaint required legal counsel, DNProtect will cover all of the counsel's fees associated with defending the complaint or associated lawsuit. DNProtect reserves the right to investigate copyright and infringement complaints. If the covered domain name is found to contain copyrighted or infringing material, DNProtect reserves the right to deny coverage for a copyright or DMCA complaint.
DNProtect warranties covered domain names against email blacklisting if this option is included in the DNProtect policy.
In the event that a covered domain name gets listed on email blacklists, DNProtect will help the domain name owner remove the domain name from the email blacklists. DNProtect checks the domain name before coverage begins to ensure the domain name is not listed on email blacklists. DNProtect monitors our policyholders' domain names on the email blacklists and if the domain name is listed we will work with the policyholder to remove the domain names from the blacklists. In the event that the domain name appears on email blacklists, DNProtect reserves the right to investigate email spam complaints on policyholder domain names and may deny coverage based on its findings.
DNProtect provides protection for the domain name described in the policy in consideration of the payment of a premium. The warranty protection is based upon information that the domain name owner provides during the application process, as well as information DNProtect reviews during the underwriting and discovery process. This policy is a services policy. DNProtect will provide the domain name owner and policyholder services that the covered domain name and website are eligible to receive and that fall within and are subject to the Terms and Conditions and limits set forth in this policy and the policy's agreement or contract.
You, as the Policyholder, have responsibilities towards your domain name and to us. If you do not meet your responsibilities, we may not cover or provide you with certain eligible services.
